County Road 2310 suffered major damage during the heavy rains on Saturday night. There were major portions of the roadway that washed away. County Commissioner of Precinct 2 Mike Odell was on site today supervising repair efforts. Commissioner Odell said that every time they dig out the ditches the next rain will wash the dirt back and undo the work they’ve done. He also said that FEMA money is being set aside for the road to be redone in the near future. He wanted to thank residents for their patience and understanding during the repair efforts. Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reported almost 8.8 inches of rain over Saturday night and Sunday AM.
