Funeral services for Dale Friddle, age 73, of Greenville will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.   Interment will follow at Greenpond Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.Mr. Friddle passed away on Friday July 21, 2017 at Medical City in McKinney.

 

Dale Lynn Friddle was born on January 8, 1944 in Hopkins County, Texas, the son of Willard Ancel and Doris Mae (Burns) Friddle.  Dale served in the Marines experiencing combat during the Vietnam War.  He achieved the rank of Sargent and received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal, as well as designation of Expert Rifleman with three year expert requalification bar.  Dale was a retired dairy farmer and had also worked for the Texas Department of Transportation.  Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church, Yantis.

 

He is survived by his daughter Lacie Leong and husband Axel of Commerce; son, Christopher Lynn Friddle of Houston; three grandchildren; sisters, Colleen Nolen and husband Jack, Linda Alpers, WillaDeneAttaway and husband Dwayne and Rita Fleming and husband Dewey of Flower Mound.

 

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Randell Friddle and William “Pete” Friddle.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
