Funeral service for Murlene Hill, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Brother Marvin Weir officiating.  Interment will follow with Travis Aven, Tony Bible, Jason Hill, Justin Hill, Lynn Turner and Mark Weirserving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.   Mrs. Hillpassed awayMonday, July17, 2017, at Hopkins Place in Sulphur Springs.

Dorothy Murlene Hill was born June 22, 1930 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, the daughter of H.J. and Nora (Simpson) Gill.  She married George Murrie Hill in Sulphur Springs, on June 25, 1948.  Murlene was a homemaker and a member of League Street Church of Christ.

Murleneis survived by her husband, Murrie; sons, Bavard Hill and wife, Linda of Sulphur Springs, Glen Hill of Natchez, MS; grandchildren, Jason and Heather Hill, Justin Hill; great grandchildren, Emma and Georgia Hill.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Thresa Weir.

Memorials can be made to League Street Church of Christ Mission Fund.
