Memorial service for Billie Godfrey, age 88, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Billie passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Rock Creek Health & Rehab in Sulphur Springs. TX.

Billie Godfrey was born on May 18, 1931 in Hico, Texas, the daughter of Dave and Nadine (Malone) Snoddy.  She married Charlie James “Shorty” Godfrey whom preceded her in death in 2001.  Billie was of the Baptist faith and a housewife.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Wright, Debra Davenport of Dallas, Bonnie Yates and husband Danny; sons, Donald Godfrey, Ronald Godfrey and wife Mary, Gary Godfrey and Barry Godfrey of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
