him in the winners circle in the youth division Hot Dog Eating Contest, Saturday.

 

How many hot dogs does it take eating to win the Hot Dog eating contest? Well, I know it is hard to believe, but one man repeated his last year's fete and ate 11 hot dogs to win the Adult division of this year's 2010 Fall Festival Hot Dog Eating Contest, on Saturday afternoon. And, there must be "something in the genes" as his two sons placed second and third in the youth division of the 2010 Contest. Mac Smithson, repeated his last year's fete and continues to hold the record for the contest. Through a massive effort, he managed to "squeeze-in" eleven of the regular-sized hot dogs, and demand the top prize.

"And, he isn't that big of a man!" exclaimed Buddy Gore, as he watched Smithson down his "weiners and bread," on Saturday. "He's got to be a 'bottomless pit,' as I can't see how he could possibly eat and hold that many hot dogs!"

Cumby High School student, Levi Wooten, competing in the adult division, managed to eat eight of the hot dogs and explained that he had eaten a number of grapes, the night before, following the football game, to "stretch his stomach," but it wasn't enough to place in the contest.

 

 

Meanwhile, Sulphur Springs Middle School student, Kade Vickery, managed to best all of the other youth, to win that division of this year's contest.
