None of us want to think about the last days of a loved one. However, when the time comes, it is always great to have a compassionate and helping hand to make those last days comfortable, memorable, and a dignified journey. That's what Hospice at Memorial attempts to do, by lending a had to families faced with death, granting "wishes" to your loved ones, and preparing everyone for the "journed to the other side!"

"One young man, faced with his last days here on this earth, wanted to go to the movies, just one more time," related Dawn McCampbell, with Hospice at Memorial. "And, we made arrangements with the local movie theater to host the young man and his family, as they laughed, enjoyed the movie, and shared quality time together. That's just one simple thing that we were able to do to create memories that will last forever!"

Pictures with Santa....

Friday night's Mexican Fiesta Dinner found supporters enjoying a great meal, and raising funds to help Hospice at Memorial continue to be a special link in this community.

Santa Claus arrived just in time to delight the kids in the crowd and get those last minute details, before returning to the North Pole and "hammering out" the toys he has for Christmas.

"Christmas is a magic time of the year, and we at Hospice at Memorial hope to spread a little bit of that magic throughout the community, all year long, as we help families deal with the uncertanties in life," expressed McCampbell. "And, the support tonight allows us to do just that!"

And, some of the big boys even had their own special requests from Santa......
