Harding University Choir Guests of
League Street Church of Christ, Saturday and Sunday
by: Bobby McDonald
It was a weekend of celebration for members of the League Street Church of Christ, on both Saturday and Sunday, as they hosted members of the Harding University Concert Choir. The 81 member strong group arrived from Searcy, Arkansas, on Saturday, presented a program at the congregation on Saturday night, spent the night in the homes of local church members, and then returned on Sunday morning for worship services and lunch.
"It's been a great weekend and we were delighted to host this group of awesome young people," expressed local member Randy Reed. "All are so talented musically and just great Christian examples for all ages of our congregation!

The Harding Choir sang a number of songs at Saturday night's Songfest 2010, and were joined by The Harvesters, a men's quartet, that presented their own selections.
Members of the choir were then invited to the homes of church members for "a midnight snack" and spent the night. Then, on Sunday, following worship services, the choir presented three more songs, and then were invited to a fellowship luncheon, in their honor, where they were able to once again visit and make friends with members of the local congregation.

The Harding University Choir travels throughout the U.S. and usually makes one or two overseas tours annually.
"These young people are such great examples for our youth group," allowed another member of the League Street Church of Christ. "They are attending college and having fun, as they share their Christian example to others!"
