Guaranty Bond Bank Employees
Conduct Annual Pumpkin
Decorating Contest

"It's 'no holes barred' competition around here, when these ladies get to decorating pumpkins," expressed a bemused Craig Roberts, as he looked over the creative creations of his employees. "These gals take it seriously and must sit up at night thinking about what they're going to do!"

Those were the reflections on Guaranty Bond Bank's Employee Pumpkin Decorating Contest, that has become a tradition at the bank. "Our employees and all the customers have come to expect something fantastic," allowed Lynda Hager, Marketing Director for the Bank. "It just seems that everyone puts more and more into the contest every year, and you have to become more creative, with each successive contest!"

This year was certainly no exception, as the pumpkins began being brought to the bank for judging.

Winners in this year's contest include: 1st place, Pamela Hankins, with her "Red Hat Ruby" creation, featuring a pumpkin crafted as lady's face and wearing the traditional red hat and purple; 2nd place went to Brittany Stegall (my favorite), who used the "signs of the time," and fashioned her pumpkin as a pink pig and called it "Boo to Swine Flu:" and, 3rd prize featured Sarah Plunk's creation of "Black Beauty," that was a series of pumpkins staked on top of each other and painted black.

Enjoy the many other creations that employees entered and you will see how difficult it was to judge this year's contest. The pumpkins will be on display for the remainder of the week, so drop-by the bank and have your own look!

Marketing Director, Lynda Hager, created this version of "Boo Pooh," complete with his
own "pumpkin honey pot" that had potential to win the contest.....

But, disaster struck over last weekend....when "Boo Pooh bit the dust".......
Better Luck Next Year, Lynda!!!!
