

Memorial Day Services Slated at
Gafford Chapel, Sunday

The annual homecoming and Memorial Day Services at Gafford Chapel has been scheduled for 10:45 a.m., Sunday, July 11th, at the Gafford Chapel United Methodist Church.
Speaker for this year's event will be the Rev. Tim Marks. Marks has been the pastor of the Arbala and Gafford Chapel United Methodists Churches since July 1, 2009. He and his wife, Becky, and son, Andrew, moved to Sulphur Spring from Wichita Falls, where Tim retired from the U.S. Air Force. Prior to being appointed to the Arbala and Gafford Chapel Churches, he served as the supply pastor at Garvin UMC, near Boyd, Texas. He is certified as a candidate for ordained ministry by the North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church and is licensed for ministry in the local church. He is currently pursing the Master of Divinity Degree at Brite Divinity School, at Texas Christian University, in Ft. Worth.
A pot-luck lunch will follow, with brisket, tea, and ice furnished. A Gafford Chapel Cemetery Report will be given, prior to lunch.
Anyone with relatives and ancestors buried at Gafford Chapel is invited, as well as those associated with the community!
