Saturday's Flea Market Attracts Crowd
To Downtown Square
by: Bobby McDonald
It was a beautiful autumn day and Saturday's last flea market of the year, on the downtown square, brought a number of vendors and shoppers to the area. "It's the last opportunity we had to sell this stuff before winter weather 'sets in,'" advised one vendor. "We've been coming to the others and made several sales, so knowing that the weather was suppose to be nice and thinking that Christmas is 'just around the corner,' we decided to make one last trip with our wares!"

From used tires, to bird houses, Christmas decorations, and food, vendors brought a number of items to sell at Saturday's event.
"This is the last one for the year, and we couldn't have asked for better weather," expressed Marc Maxwell, in giving an assessment of Saturday's event.
"We're excited with any event that brings people to the downtown Sulphur Springs area," expressed a member of the Downtown Business Alliance. "And, we have a number of shoppers making purchases!"
