Success Heralded at Opening Day of
Local Farmer's Market
by: Bobby McDonald
Saturday's opening day of the local Farmer's Market, on Main Street, was heralded as a huge success, by almost everyone involved. "We got some great gardening plants and now have to go home and put them out!" remarked one shopper, loaded with both flowers and tomato plants. "You know what we'll be doing this afternoon and tomorrow!"
"We've had a great day!" expressed vendor, J.R. Fisher. "Traffic has been great and everybody seemed to be in great spirits and ready for the springtime!"
Saturday's beautiful sunshine and dry weather had everyone out and anticipating growing gardens and working outside.

Vendors from horticulture displays, to gourmet food, produce, and coffee delights, lined Main Street, on Saturday, as the local marketing season began.
"We've had a successful and pleasant day, from our booth," expressed Ruth Mary Hall, as she helped her daughters with their jewelry booth. "Folks from all across Hopkins County and from out-of-town have been stopping by and enjoying the day!"
The local Farmer's Market will be featured every Saturday, thru the autumn season, on historic Main Street.
