ECLC Parent Committee
Elects 2010-11 Officers

With the new school year beginning, the SSISD ECLC Parent Committee has been busy making plans and has elected officers for the coming year. Officers elected include: Venda Wright, President; Brandi Diaz DeLeon, Vice-President; Holly Cousins, Assistant Vice-President; Angie Schott, Secretary; Robyn Joslin-Wright, Assistant Secretary; Kristin Baxter, Public Relations Coordinator; Ammy Tello, Historian; Brenda Hamby, Historian; and Maricela Resendiz, Seargent-at-Arms.

Mrs. Della Robinson serves as the Parent Involvment Specialist at ECLC, and Mrs. Rita Taylor serves in Family Services at ECLC.

The Parent Committee at ECLC meets at least once a month to address any needs or concerns that affect the children and to encourage all parents to be involved in their children's education. Topics of concern include: family matters, nutrition, and family health.

 

 

 

 

Approximately 65 parents were in attendance at this year's "kick-off" meeting, held at the ECLC.

The Parents Committee has planned a breakfast and "Watch Dog Patrol" on Friday, September 24th, at 8:30 a.m., where parents will be involved in patrolling the morning traffic at and around the ECLC facilities, to make a difference in child safety. All parents at ECLC are invited to attend.
