Como-Pickton Eagles & Lady Eagles
Make "Clean Sweep" Against Cumby,
Tuesday Night

It was a "clean sweep" for the Como-Pickton Eagles and Lady Eagles, on Tuesday night, as they hosted Cumby, in "heated" basketball action. The night began with the Como-Pickton JV, Lady Eagles, defeating the JV Lady Trojans, in a close game. Then, the JV Boys took the court and once again, the Como-Pickton Eagles managed a win, as they defeated the Trojan JV team, 25-22.

The Lady Eagles varsity took the court and managed a decisive win, as they defeated the Lady Trojans 46-27. The Lady Eagles led the match-up at halftime, 23-17, but out scored the Lady Trojans, throughout the second half of the game, and defensively limited to the Lady Trojans to only 10 more points.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Four generations of Lady Eagles fans....Mrs. Venice Turner, Polly Swatsell, Sissy Brumley, and
Chayton Brumley, all were "rooting" for Como-Pickton's #10, Saxe Daugherty.

 

The match-up between the Eagles and the Trojans was a low scoring game, as both teams struggled to put points on the scoreboard. However, the Eagles managed to declare a 28-23 victory, in the end. Several times throughout the game, the margin was only three points, between the two teams, and capable of going either way.
