Ducks Unlimited Banquet Raises Funds For
Duck Hunting Preservation, Tuesday Night
by: Bobby McDonald
Members and friends of the local Ducks Unlimited organization met on Tuesday night, at AJ'S Fishhouse, on scenic Lake Fork, to conduct their annual fundraising dinner and auction. A large number of items were in both silent and live auctions, as well as a number of raffles conducted throughout the night. Included in this year's event were guns, hunting trips, a puppy, dog training certificates, and a number of duck hunting prints for the home.
"We had a great night!" expressed Mike Tyler, one of the event organizers. "I think everyone enjoyed the great meal, and the auction was a success, with many individuals going home with some great items!"

Tanner Regan served as the auctioneer for this year's event and the items present brought a premium, as the funds were going to preserve duck hunting habitat.

"We've got to raise funds and make certain that the habitats are preserved and the sport can continue," observed another event organizer. "It's great for everyone to come out and help this worthy cause and enjoy continuing the sport of duck hunting!"
Plans are already underway for another successful event for next year!
