Winners Named in Downtown Business
Banner Art Contest, Friday

This art banner submitted by twelve-year old, Shade Alley,
was chosen this year's winner, by popular vote!
Friday afternoon, member of the Downtown Business Association announced the winners and presented prize money to the winners in this year's First Annual Downtown Business Association Banner Art Contest. The contest drew loads of entries and a record number of ballots being cast to determine the winner.
Selected as first prize and receiving $250.00 was twelve-year old, Shade Alley, who received 255 votes for her rendition of a Skating Reindeer.

Second prize, was awarded to 9 year old, Mason Burgin, for his rendition of a Christmas owl. He recieved 235 votes and was awarded a check for $150.00

Meanwhile, Vivian Beasley, age 15, was awarede $100.00 for her third prize entry, of beautifully decorated Christmas tree. She received 187 votes.

A happy Rena Pennebaker was on-hand to receive a prize of a $100.00 Savings Bond From Alliance Bank, for being drawn from those who submitted art work to the contest.

And, former Chamber of Commerce Secretary, Debbie Swingle was announced as the winner of of the $300.00 downtown shopping spree, for being the lucky winner drawn from those who voted in the contest.
