"This is by far one of the most talented groups of young ladies that we've had in Dairy Festival in a long, long time," expressed Pageant director, Patricia Chase. "With thirteen young ladies competing for the crown and a wide, wide variety of talent, I certainly would hate to be a judge!"

Chase went on to say that the "judges' dilemma" was something special for the crowd, as Saturday night's show would certainly be an entertaining event for the audience. "We've got young ladies that are dancing, several that are singing, a comedian, and a number of monologues," advised Chase. "So, the variety gives something for everyone!"

The talent portion of the contest is limited to a five minute presentation, and is just one of the many facets of the score that eventually names the evening's winner. The candidates must first undergo a judge's interview, with each of the five judges, is judged during the casual wear performance on stage, and then during the evening gown competition, when the candidates will introduce themselves with a short speech.

"Imagine all of the variables in this year's contest, with thirteen candidates, five judges, and four categories on which to be judged," expressed Chase. "It will certainly be minute details that will separate the eventual winner, from her counterparts! It will prove to be a surprise to everyone, who wins this year's contest and that is the way it should be, with thirteen talented young ladies vying for the title!"

"We just want everyone to come out and support these young ladies as they work to become Hopkins County's ambassador for the dairy industry and the community!" continued Chase. "The evening's performance will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m."
