Saturday's Downtown Car Show
Takes Folks "Down Memory Lane"
by: Bobby McDonald

Add some brisk autumn weather, beautiful sunshine, and over 80 classic cars, as well as covering Main Street with classic Corvettes, and you have the perfect recipe for a wonderful day in downtown Sulphur Springs. Judges at Saturday's event had a very, very hard time deciding which automobiles to award the prizes to, as there were some real beauties, lined-up in their line of view.

Classic cars in the shadows of the Hopkins County Courthouse!
Saturday's show was the annual show sponsored by the Downtown Business Alliance, and alliance president, Rita Edwards, stated that she had over 80 cars entered in the show and on exhibition. Meanwhile, a local Corvette Club parked classic beauties on the newly remodeled Main Street.

These beautiful Corvettes were lined-up along Main Street, where the beautiful autumn foliage added
to the festivities on Saturday.
"It was a wonderful day, and we sold loads of t-shirts, that brought a large crowd to downtown Sulphur Springs, and gave away a number of prizes and door-prizes, as well!" allowed Edwards. "Everyone commented on the great weather and the hospitality of Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County. Hopefully, this 4th annual show is becoming a tradition for Sulphur Springs!"

Beautiful autumn decorations, supplied by Downtown business owners, greeted those visiting
Sulphur Springs on Saturday.

Enjoy these photos of some great classic cars, that were enjoyed by the large crowd, on Saturday:
