Dairy Festival "Utterances"

Hope all of you are as excited as we are - June 11 starts it all with the Opening Ceremonies at Guaranty Bond Bank at 9:30 a.m.  Then that evening, the hot air balloons will fly from Shannon Oaks Church, beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  During this time, there will be  live music and refreshments offered for sale to raise money for the Church youth work camp (a very worthy cause - teenagers working to help others!)

This activity will also occur on Saturday, June 12 - same time, same place - and live music, also.  But remember, the balloons fly Saturday morning also.  The balloonists need and must have crew members (that's you) to be able to get the balloons up and down.  One of the balloons is a specialty giant balloon and requires 10 crew members every flight!
If you are interested in and can commit to being a crew member, please call  Pam Black at 903-439-4384.  The crew members must attend the pilot's briefing on Fri., Sat., and Sun. morning at 5:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, for the 6 a.m. flight.  The pilots must be certain that each of the 20 balloons have enough crew for each balloon.  Also, for the flights on Fri. and Sat. evening, crew members need to meet at Shannon Oaks Church at 6:00 p.m.

 

 

Guess what!  The Corvette Show and Shine will be on display after the Parade  - Soon you will see the whole schedule of events, but remember the famous Parade starts at 10:00 am.  Look for each of the lovely 13 contestants and our Queen on their own individual decorated conyeances, plus the 13 pair (that's 26, if you do the math) "American Cuties" (little kids) on their very decorated "mini-floats".  And, here are their names:  Haylee Shultz (Brian & Kristi Shultz) and Reese Holt (Andy & Lindsey Holt); Madeline Sherman (Rob & Shanon Sherman) and Cole Haney (Jeff & Michelle Haney); Alli Crump (Tanner & Ashley Crump) and Ryan Motes (Mark Motes); Baylee Bowen (Michael & Amy Bowen) and Braden Lennon (Danny & Carrie Cherney; Emily Armstrong (Wes & Wendi Armstrong) and Dalton Crowson (Brandon & Amanda Crowson); Charlie Betts (Jennifer Betts) and Carston Moore (Mike & Kim Moore); Zia Miller (Tom & Frannie Miller) and Jacob Hutchins (Julie Hutchins); Caroline Prickette (John & Gena Prickette) and Preston Clayton (Brian & Michel Clayton); Kelty Conner (Todd & Leah Conner) and Crawford Johnson (Craig & Chaney Johnson); Reese Ragan (Tanner & Holly Ragan) and Austin Chaney (Brent & D'Anne Chaney); Calie McKinney (Michael & Amanda McKinney) and Landon Burkett (Steven & Mindy Burkett); Brook Seagraves (Paul & Brandy Seagraves) and James Goggins (Brandon & Sara Goggins); Peyton Ball (Matthew & Kinsy Ball) and Michael Phel (Brandon & Rachel Phel).  Be sure to catch them in the parade and and at the pageant.  They are darling!  And, a big thanks to their parents for all their hard work getting it all ready!
