Penalties and Turnovers
Allow Dallas Gateway to Deliver
Trojan's First District Loss
by: Bobby McDonald
The Cumby Trojans began district play, or what some call "the second season," on Friday night, and are still "looking for a win!" The Trojans, now 0-7 for the season are certainly searching for a win and didn't find it, despite best efforts on Friday night. "It was a very frustrating night," declared one of the "tried and true" Trojan fans. "It seemed like every time we'd get a break, we'd get it and some more negated on a penalty, or we'd get within 'striking distance' of the goal-post, and we'd turn the ball over to the other team!"
The Trojans, a youthful team, this year, have struggled throughout the season on implementing a winning combination. "It's not the heart and drive of the team, but just mistakes and 'pure bad luck' that seems to thwart the team," continued the fan. "Hopefully, now that we're in district play, we can learn from our mistakes and carry forward with some winning football!"
