The Cumby Trojans maintained their momentum during the first half of Friday night's match-up with the Quinlan Boles Hornets, before a home crowd in Frazier-Lawrence Field. However, during the second half, they couldn't capture enough to pull-out a win. The Hornets defeated the Trojans 28-14.

"It looked like we were pretty well even matched, during the first two periods of play," expressed one "die hard" Trojan fan. "However, it was during the second half that seemed everything went the way of the state ranked, Quinlan Boles. They're a great ball club and played hard, all four quarters.

The Cumby Trojans will be hosting neighboring Wolfe City, on Friday night, as they conduct their Senior Night, before the home crowd. Then, on November 6th, they will be completing regular season play, as they travel to Celeste, for the final game of district competition.
