One Woman Killed in I-30 Crash,
Early Monday Morning

A twenty-seven year old, white female, giving a Dallas address, was the victim in an early morning crash, on I-30 West, near Cumby. The victim was observed driving west in the east-bound lane of I-30, and was being pursued by Cumby police on the service road, when she collided head-on with an 18-wheeler headed east, killing the driver of the suburban.

Justice of the Peace Ronny Glossup was called to the scene and arrived at approximately 4:15 a.m., confirming that the victim had perished in the accident.

This is the third traffic fatality in Hopkins County, in the past week.
