It was a long trip home for the Como-Pickton Eagles, on Friday night, after suffering a 48-6 loss to the Caddo Mills Foxes, in their homecoming game, before a packed crowd, in the town west of Greenville.  You've hard the proverbial cliche, "the fox was in the henhouse!" Well, the powerful Caddo Mills "Foxes" were in the Como-Pickton backfield, most of the night! The Eagles' lone score was during the second quarter of play, when James Carter "skirted" across the goal line on a one yard carry and added six points to the scoreboard. The PAT by Angel Mercado barely missed the uprights, but the score remained at 21-6, at halftime.

The second half of play saw the Foxes add 27 more points to the board, and saw highly touted Senior running back, Nathan Jeffery, add to the State High School 2-A Record he set in the first half of play. Jeffery, with 9:24 on the clock during the second quarter, scored his second touchdown for the night, and broke the 2-A record with 116 touchdowns in his high school career. He went on to increase that number to 119, before the night was over.

Nathan Jeffery, #22, with feet in the air, does a "hand-spring" over the goal line to make his
116th career touchdown and set a 2-A School Record.

The Como-Pickton Eagles will be hosting the Quitman Bulldogs at home, on Friday night, October 23rd, as they continue winless district season.
