
Como-Pickton School Receives Grant
For Promotion of Milk & Dairy Products
A vending machine was donated to Como-Pickton School by Dairy Max and Dairy Farmer Families, as a milk and dairy products promotional tool.
Then, Lone Star Milk Producers gave $2,000 cash grant to purchase dairy products for the vending machine, in an effort to encourage students to
make healthy choices at school.
Oak Farms school account specialist, Sharon Clemons, donated pedometers for students to start their walking/exercise program. They also furnished prizes to use as rewards for students who choose good nutritional foods and walk for the “Fuel Up to Play 60” Grant sponsored by Dairy Max and supported by the NFL.
CPCISD promoting healthy body-healthy mind concept, in cooperation with local and national dairy products agencies.
