Como-Pickton Cosmetology Students
Capture District Competition

From Como-Pickton School

 

The Como-Pickton Skills USA Cosmetology Chapter #3389 attended the district competition, on February 4th, 5th, and 6th, in Waco, Texas. The were accompanied by their chapter advisor and teacher, Mrs. Loretta Cox.

There were three students from Como-Pickton High School, who entered individual projects and their class notebooks in the competition.

 

 

 

Results were announced on Saturday, February 6th. Elena Ochoa, a freshman, placed first with her Cosmetology notebook, and also placed first with her project in nail art.

Fanny Domine, a freshman, won first in her individual project of a mannequin head.

Brenda Rucobo, a junior, won first place in her individual project of nail art.

These three students naturally enjoyed the trip to Waco and looking forward to attending and competing at the state convention, to be held in Corpus Christi, Texas.
