To Be New Conclusion at This Year's Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is fast approaching and bringing with it a NEW addition to the Festivites, The final night of this year's festival will feature a catfish dinner, prepared by the famous cooks of Hopkins County, and music provided by an all-star line-up of talent. The 1st Annual  "Catfish and Country" Concert will be Saturday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m.. 

This first ever "Outdoor Fish Fry Contest" and "Country Concert" will feature American Country Music Artist, Deryl Dodd.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dallas native, Deryl Dodd, has made a name for himself as one of the most authentic artists in Country Music.  From the Texas music curcuit to Nashville, national tours to chart topping hits, Deryl has seen the Country Music industry from the top. On his climb up the musical ladder, Deryl has opened for Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Brooks and Dunn. Deryl was also named the New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music with his single "A Bitter End".   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also appearing will be Whiskey Roadshow and Jamie Richards.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Fall Festival Board will start serving Fried Catfish at 6:00 PM and the Concert will begin at 7:00 PM. The Cover Girl and Fish Fry Winners will be announced during the Concert. Tickets to the "Catfish and Country" Concert and Fish Fry will be $ 10.00.  The ticket includes the Concert and the Fish Dinner. You can purchase your tickets from any Fall Festival Board member or at the Civic Center. If you think you might be one of the "Best Catfish Fryers" around, it is not too late to enter the Catfish Fry Competetition.  We have waived the entrance fee but you will be required to fry 30 lbs of Catfish and have 2 sides to enter the contest. You can pick up an application at the Civic Center or the Star Country Radio Station at 930 Gilmer St.  

Come out and help us wind down the Fall Festival with a great new event and enjoy some good ole Country Music and Fried Catfish. I am looking forward to seeing you at YOUR COUNTY FAIR.
