Seasons of Taste Cooking School
Offers Ideas For Every Occasion, Thursday
by: Bobby McDonald

It was a large crowd of women, and even a few men, from all across Northeast Texas, that made their way to the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Thursday morning, for the 3rd Annual Seasons of Taste Cooking School. The school is conducted by Agri-Life Home Demonstrations Agents from the Northeast Texas area, who specialize in demonstrating meals that can be made and served for special occasions.....Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and other holidays.

Agents demonstrated the cooking and preparation techniques for a variety of dishes, that fit into individual holiday themes, and then showed creative displays to enhance the appeal of the foods. "I learned loads of helpful tips on food presentation," commented one attendee. "You can take the mundane and 'dress it up' for a really unique presentation, with some of these ideas!"

"I think we all are looking for some excitement and ways to make food more appealing," commented another attendee. "These tips show ways to celebrate the holidays and create special memories!"

Thursday's cooking school offered the live demonstrations on preparing the recipes and then gave those in attendance a book of the recipes for creating the dishes.

"It was certainly a neat way to spend the morning, seeing these live cooking demonstrations, but I'm not telling my husband that I went," commented another participant. "He might learn that I know how do all these things and not offer to take me out to eat anymore, for Valentine's Day! This is just my little secret!"
