21st Annual Chamber of Commerce

Golf Tournament

Perfect weather prevailed at the 21st Annual, Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce golf tournament which took place on Friday, April 9th at the Sulphur Springs Country Club. Thirty-three, six person teams participated in the event!

 

The Morningstar Team placed second place low net.

 

First Place Low Net—Alliance Bank with a net score of 39: Tony Bettis, Buck Booker, Lance Looney, Sput McCormick,  Kevin Monk, and Jason Thompson

Second Place Low Net—Morningstar with a net score of 42.50:  Scott Brown, Gere Camper, Larry Connaughton, John Landers, Kendall Stanley, Joe Wallace

Third Place Low Net—Grocery Supply Company with a net score of 43.17: Ryan McKenzie, John Prickette, Bobby Brown, Patrick Blanchard, Billy Eschobar, and Dennis Ballard

 


The A&S Air Conditioning Team won the low gross score team with a 50.

 

First Place Low Gross—A & S Air Conditioning with a low gross score of 50: Thomas Croft, Randall Carpenter, Cody Wells, Frank Baker, Kevin Baker and Wayne Payne.

Second Place Low Gross—Brad Morris Homes with a low gross score of 52: Brad Morris, Tanner Ragan, Dustin Gideon, Judson Weaver, Burnis Cox and Eddie Jones.

Third Place Low Gross—Guaranty Bond Bank with a low gross score of 52: Doyle Potts, Steve Crawford, Steve Littlefield, Tod Conner, Paul Chalupa and John McDonald.

Held at the eighteen-hole Sulphur Springs Golf and Country Club, this six-person "scramble" is always a fun-filled event with all sorts of contests being held concurrently with the tournament, including prizes for "closest to the hole in 2 ", "longest drive", "longest putt", and “pick a side”, just to name a few.
