We are going to print with the buyer’s guides, soon, and we REALLY want to have accurate information for every chamber member. If you have not checked our website or called to see if we have the right information, please do so…soon, so that we may get it all correct!
If you are not a member of the Chamber of Commerce and have always wondered what we do and why you should be a member…well let me tell you! At the Chamber of Commerce, we exist to promote the businesses that belong to the Chamber of Commerce. If someone is looking for a specific type of business…we only recommend businesses that belong to the Chamber. We also promote your businesses on the internet with our website…www.sulphursprings-tx.com. Each week we draw a Chamber member’s name and they will be named business of the week. We put their name, address, phone number and website in this news article, we publish it on frontporchnewstexas.com and we discuss it on the Chamber Report on KSST Radio. It is also the goal of the Chamber to be an advocate for our businesses. It is our hope that we will see issues that need to be addressed in the business community and we try to find solutions. New for 2011 in the Chamber Connection: “Questions Asked at the Chamber…Really!!!”
Everyday at the Chamber of Commerce, we provide information about our Chamber Members’ Businesses as well as answer questions about the area, give directions, and try to help people as much as possible. Over the past-almost 3 years-since I have been at the Chamber, I have heard some pretty interesting questions, and I thought you might find them interesting too! So beginning in January, I will periodically share some of the “most interesting” things I have heard or been asked! I hope you enjoy!
Chamber: “Good Morning, Chamber of Commerce.”
Gentleman: “Yes, Ma’am. I need the number to a Bicycle Repair Shop.”
Chamber: “Sir, I don’t believe we have a bicycle repair shop in Sulphur Springs.”
Gentleman: “Well…I don’t need one in Sulphur Springs, I need one in Tyler!!!!”
