Chamber of Commerce Banquet
Still "ON" For Thursday Night

As most of you probably have heard, weather forecasters are calling for possibly some snow, on Thursday night, in Hopkins County. However, a check with Meredith Caddell, at the Chamber of Commerce, revealed that it doesn't matter, the Chamber of Commerce Banquet is still "ON," as planned.  "We've all talked it over and consulted what the weather forecast says, and likely the temperatures will still be high enough, that anything falling wouldn't stick to the roadways, anyway," allowed Caddell. "And, we already have all of the food ordered, the decorating committee has already begun decorations, and everything is just too far, to let a little bit of snow or sleet, dampen our spirits!"

"Look at it this way, who would you rather be spending a frosty night with, than those friends and neighbors, who will at the banquet?" questioned Jackie Thornton, this year's Chamber of Commerce Board President. "It'll certainly be much more fun, going to the Civic Center, for the banquet, than staying at home, and really they tell us the weather conditions are not predicted to be hazzardous!"

"We don't want anyone out on dangerous roads, but it just doesn't sound like it's going to be that bad!" continued Caddell. "Sounds like everyone can get to the banquet, and then arrive back home, before anything 'ugly' will be happening to the roads!"

"Should something different transpire, we'll let everyone know in plenty of time!" advised Caddell.

The 84th Annual Banquet has "sold out" of tickets, the speaker is already prepared to be here and "the show must go on!"
