You've watched him all season on American Idol, and Friday it was "the cool kid from Cool, Texas" that was back in North Texas greeting fans, appearing on stage, and "drumming up" support for his continued success on the show. The 27 year old North Texan made the rounds of North Texas Radio and TV Stations, on Friday morning, and then arrived at the Ft. Worth Stockyards, on Friday afternoon, for a parade. His next appearance was in Richardson at the 18th Annual Wildflower Music Festival, and he had a full day of appearances on Saturday, including a return to his alma mater, Millsap High School, in Parker County, where he would visit with his "true hometown folk" at Bulldog Stadium.

The Mayor of Richardson welcomes American Idol, Casey James, to the stage,
on Friday night at the Wildflower Music Festival, as fans cheered!

"It's been quite a ride!" exclaimed James, as he exited the limousine on Friday night, for his appearance in Richardson. "Who would have ever dreamed that a boy from Cool, Texas could have made it this far!"

Just as personable as he appears on the popular television show, James answered questions, waved to fans, and continued to ask them for their votes, to make certain that he continues in the contest. "I hope everyone will get on their phones and vote, so that the ride can continue!" exclaimed Casey. "Please, please continue to vote!"

Of course, all of Northeast Texas is "abuzz," but the small towns of Cool and Millsap, west of Ft. Worth are really "rolling out the red carpet" for their hometown hero. Signs in yards say "I Love Casey James!" and the high school in Millsap is adorned with a marquee reading "American Idol Casey James!" The tiny ranching and farming communities know Casey James intimately and have followed his music career from his days as a spiked-haired senior at Millsap High School, in Parker County. "It's seldom that Cool and Millsap have something like this to be proud of!" exclaimed one devoted fan, who had traveled to Richardson to watch the boy she had grown-up with, live on stage. "Our section of Texas is rather 'sleepy' compared to the bright lights that Casey has been in !"

Casey James will be returning for the live show on Tuesday, as he makes another weekly attempt to "wow" the voters, across America, and become the next "American Idol."

"It's down to the finals!" proclaimed James, as he discussed the competition. "It all depends on the fans voting and remaining true. That's why it's so important for all of you to send in your votes!"

And, sending in votes is what many, many of the youth in Parker and surrounding counties are doing! "There's parents and grandparents learning how to text!" exclaimed one of Casey's hometown fans. "How many times do you get to have a Texan in the finals, so we want to encourage everyone to take the time to vote and show America that Texas stands behind her own!"

Watch Tuesday night's show and make certain that you support this great young man from our own North Texas!!!

"Please continue to vote!" begged Casey James, as he interacted with fans, from the
stage in Richardson, Friday night!
