Two Burglary Suspects Apprehended
Sunday Night
by: Bobby McDonald
Two young men from Pickton learned that "crime doesn't pay" on Sunday night, when Sulphur Springs Police Officers, Taylor and Hawkins, made an arrest as they exited the M&F Western Warehouse on Shannon Road. The alarms had been triggered and officers observed the young men leaving the building, as they arrived, and made the arrest.
Arrested were Alex Lopez Campos, age 19, of Pickton, and Pablo Emanuel Bonilla, age 18, also of Pickton.
Sulphur Springs Police Chief, Jim Bayuk, reported that the arrests " may clear up some motor vehicle burglaries in the area, as well." "We're still questioning the two young men and may be able to solve these cases, also," stated Bayuk.
"Our officers are out patrolling the streets and this is just another example of how important it is for our officers to remain vigilant, of anything that looks suspicious at businesses after hours," continued Bayuk. "Hopefully, this arrest will solve several of our local crimes and get the perpetrators behind bars, and off the streets!"
