"Money, Money, Money everywhere.....Have Brittany Wilson and Rekayla Pryor of Galyean Insurance and
Alliance Bank found the money tree?

Alliance Bank Teaches Third Graders
at Bowie Elementary About Saving

by: Bobby McDonald

Excitement was high on Tuesday morning as Brittany Wilson of Galyean Insurance Company and Rekayla Pryor of the parent company, Alliance Bank, arrived at Bowie Elementary School, to present a program on savings and investments. The duo arrived with a "money tree" and cold, hard cash. "I've never seen so much money in my life!" exclaimed one excited third grader.

Rekayla and Brittany told the students that regardless of how much or how little money you have, you should save some of it for a "rainy day!" And, most third graders in Hopkins County knew what a "rainy day" was, following one of the wettest winters in history, in and near Sulphur Springs.

Following Tuesday's informative program, each of the students were presented with a small bank bag, that contained "seed money" to begin their savings. They were also given a highlighter from Galyean Insurance and a "chocolate" coin to remember their program.

April is Teach a Child to Save Month!

Bowie Elementary School students, left to right, Anna Irving, Lesly Martinez, and Carter Lewis, came to the front and
inspected the "money tree" to see if it really was real, following Tuesday's program.
