A regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held Monday,
September 14, 2009.
PUBLIC FORUM
Mr. Harry Lewis requested to address the Board and presented President Johnson with historical documents from his time at Douglas School 50 years ago.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Johnny Wells was presented a plaque in recognition of being named the 2009 Texas Association for Gifted and Talented (TAGT) State Teacher of the Year.
Gail Herman was presented a framed certificate from Governor Rick Perry recognizing the Sulphur Springs High School 2009 State UIL Spelling & Vocabulary Champions.
The Head Start Annual Report for 2008-2009 school year was presented to board members.
Judy McCaskey, external Campus Intervention Team member, explained the CIT process and the steps that will be taken to improve the High School’s unacceptable rating.

Teacher appraisers and appraisal calendar for the 2009-2010 school year.
5-year proposal with Coca-Cola.
