What began as a wonderful night of music, on Friday night, continued throughout Saturday as Bluegrass music enthusiasts made their way to the Cooper Lake Amphi-Theater for another round of entertainment.

Saturday's show began at 12:00 noon and featured two sets by four different Bluegrass artists. The Southern Gentlemen performed at 12:00 and 6:00 p.m., and The Welch Mountain Boys and Bill Grant presented performances at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.

It was the Sonja Barber Band who performed at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. and David Davis and The Warrior River Boys, that made the final appearances at 3:00 and 9:00 p.m.

"It's been a great, great weekend of Bluegrass music," exclaimed one of the patrons. "And, the facilities here at Cooper Lake are outstanding. There's someone to pick you up in the parking lot, deliver you to the shaded area where you place your lawn chairs, and then someone to deliver you back. You can't ask for anything more, unless maybe just a little bit cooler weather, and it was really, really nice out here on Friday night!"

"We may plan to move the Bluegrass Festival and Jam to November, next year," advised one of the SSRDA board members. "That way we would avoid the intense heat in August, that may have prevented some people from coming, this year. However, November, you never know about the weather then either. Who knows, we might be looking for a source of heat, if we move it. We'll just have to meet as a board and make some decisions. Regardless, there was definitely some great talent at this year's festival and everyone who came, seemed to have a great time and were very complimentary of our facilities!"

"You missed a real treat, if you weren't in attendance for this great music!" exclaimed another patron. "It was one of the finest shows I've seen all year!"
