If you passed by downtown Sulphur Springs, at noon on Friday, you witnessed the dedication and flag raising cermonies of the new Alliance Bank flagpole, located west of the main bank, in the new plaza area. The ceremony, attended by members of the bank staff, customers, and local citizens, was conducted by local Boy Scout Troop #66 members, Rye Kelly, Will Horton, E.J. Ramos, and Jarred Cowley. The troop's Scout Master is Mark Moore.

"We want to thank the members of Troop #66 and all those who came out and made this dedication ceremony special," expressed Tom Sellers, President of Alliance Bank. "It's the objective of our bank to honor our freedoms, that are so richly abundant in America and to honor those heroes who have and continue to sacrifice their lives to make certain that we enjoy our freedoms!"
Following the ceremony, the members of Troop #66 were treated to hamburgers at the Alliance Bank Cook-Out, hosted by their Relay For Life Team, in the adjacent parking lot.
