ABC Autoplex Continues Hollie Swatsell
Legacy With Toy Run, Saturday
by: Bobby McDonald
Saturday will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Hollie Swatsell Memorial Toy Run, hosted again this year at ABC Autoplex. "It was a project that Hollie always enjoyed and one that was dear to his heart, of helping kids," advised Polly Swatsell, as she began making plans for this year's Toy Run. "The event helps to collect toys for children who might not otherwise enjoy Christmas, and that's always a gratifying project to participate in!"
"Hollie began hosting with the event 10 years ago and it would seem 'unpatriotic' to not continue to host it," advised Ronnie Parris, of ABC Autoplex. "We have a lot of fun and enjoy the music, the food, the motorcycle games, and the association that we have with collecting the toys!"

Polly and Ronnie both invite everyone out on Saturday, to bring their motorcycles and ride in the run, on Saturday morning, and/or attend the lunch and motorcycle games that will be hosted on Saturday afternoon. "We are assited with the event by Mike Davis, who runs most of the games, and you've never seen anything like it!" continued Parris. "You go and try to get a marshmallow off a fork, in the air, as you're riding a motorcycle!"

"Certainly, it will be a day of fun, but our main objective is to collect as many toys as we can, for the children of the greater Hopkins County area," continued Polly. "We know the economy isn't the best its ever been, so there will even be a greater need for toys, this year! We just ask that everyone continue to support the effort and do all that they can for the kids! Come join us on Saturday!"
