Sulphur Springs Wildcats Takes An Impressive

 69-64 Win

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats have done it again. Tuesday night they gave their fans another impressive win against North Lamar.

Sulphur Springs struggled the first half of the game, giving their opponent a small advantage in the first period, but the Wildcats were not going to permit this and stepped up their game plan and took the lead. In the second period North Lamar gave Sulphur Springs a hard time. North Lamar was "ramming" through the Wildcats defense and there was nothing the Wildcats could do, but attempt to block the shots or foul in the attempt. It wasn't long before the Wildcats called for a time-out and planned a new strategy. The plan worked and the Wildcats would take a 31-27 lead into half-time.

In the second half of the game you could feel the tension between the players and the fans. Every shot, every foul and every pass meant something either good or bad would occur. The Wildcats wanted this win and so did North Lamar. The game plan for both teams were still the same and both teams were going all or nothing. The fans were starting to cheer up for their teams in every play and every shot and that was when both teams started to get "pumped up" and gave their fans an impressive game.

Sulphur Springs was "in a pickle" North Lamar was playing hard and were doing everything possible to get the ball back, even if it meant fouling to stop the Wildcats momentum. In the third period Sulphur Springs would take a small 48-41 lead. In the fourth period the story of the game was starting to change and North Lamar started taking the lead, it wasn't by much, but that gave them the adrenaline rush to keep fighting. Within less than a minute the game was tied  59-59 and would remain like that and Sulphur Springs and North Lamar would take the game into extra time.

In extra time Sulphur Springs started playing differently, they started hustling, sprinting and diving for every loose ball. Their hard work and perseverance paid off and Sulphur Springs would take the 69-64 win against North Lamar.
