Last night the Sulphur Springs Middle School Choir performed an amazing performance at Central Baptist Church!

 

6th Grade Girls

 

The 6th grade girl choir group sang:

 

"A Distant Shore" by: Donnelly/Strid

"Fire Down Below" by: Capstan Chantey/Eshelman

"Swinging on a Star" by: Burk/Van Heusen arr. Gilpin

 

Director: Ms. Lee Ann Mitchell

 

6th Grade Boys

 

The 6th grade boy group sang;

 

"Charlotte-Town" by: Amer. Folk Tune/Crocker

"The Drunken Sailor" by: Sea Chantey/Crocker

"Don't Let the Music Stop" by: Eugene Butler

 

7th - 8th Grade Boys

 

The 7th and 8th grade boys combined their talent and sang;

 

"You Raise Me Up" by: Graham/Lovland arr. Emerson

"Get On Board! Medley" by: Spirituals/arr. Greg Gilpin

 

 

 

 

7th - 8th Grade Girls

Also, the 7th - 8th Grade Girls combined their harmonically talented voices and sang together;

"How Can I Keep From Singing?" by: Quaker Song arr. Littleton

"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by: Wess/Peretti arr. Funk

"For the Beauty of the Earth" by: John Rutter

The Sulphur Springs Middle School Choir and Ms. Lee Ann Mitchell would like to say thank you to the following;

The Central Baptist Church for use of their beautiful facility; to Mr. Paul Frye, the music director for the church, for his help with sound and logistics.

Mike Aldridge, owner of AV Remote Productions, LLC, for bringing his equipment from San Antonio, Texas to make a professional High Definition DVD recording of last night's performances.

To the parents, for having all their children in the choir program who bless everyone everyday with their smiles, funny stories, their funny moods, and of course their amazing voices!

And Ms. Lee Ann Mitchell expressed the following; "I could not be more proud of their work and their acceptance of me as "the new choir teacher". They have welcomed me with open arms. I love them all."
