Movie Review:
"The Lottery Ticket"
The Following review is from a 18 year student from Como-Pickton
Content:
The Lottery Ticket is a hilarious comedy movie that will entertain your teenagers and up to adults. This movie is quiet a unique comedy, but if adults or teenagers don't mind; mild violence between fist fights and gunfights, some sexual content, strong language, and some underage drinking then this movie is definitely a must see comedy.
Overview:
The Lottery ticket has singer (Bow Wow) known mainly in the movie as Kevin, as the main protagonist. Kevin lives in a low class rural suburban area in the city. He was working at "Foot Locker," but some misunderstanding makes him lose his job.
Jobless and without hope of getting anywhere, Kevin tries his luck by buying a lottery ticket. Kevin would have never imagined himself winning the $370 million dollar grand prize!
Kevin soon became the "top dog," of his neighborhood. His enemies became his friends and his friends became worthless people. As the story continues Kevin realizes that money changes people, and that money is not everything in life.
Opinion:
This movie is an eye opener. It makes you realize that nothing big in any amount or size can be compared to the love and friendship of your peers. If you are a fan of "Barbershop or Friday," then this movie is highly recommended for you, because it shows the same characteristics and comedy wise content.
If you don't mind the sight of some obscene content, then this movie is recommended to see with family and friends.
Rating from 1-10:
7

This next review is from a 13 year old girl student from Sulphur Springs Middle School
This movie is about a dude name Kevin, who is a recent high school grad who dreams of starting a sneaker company. For now, he is spending the summer at home with his grandma in the Atlanta projects.
After unfairly losing his job, he reluctantly gives his last dollar for a lottery ticket and guess what happened? He wins the $370 million dollar grand prize. But it's not long before local people start gossiping and spreading word that he won. Everyone from the pastor to the neighborhood godfather wants a share. The only people he can trust are his best friends Benny and Stacie and possibly the strange old man in the basement, even though Benny is convinced that he is a serial killer.
Kevin couldn't cash his check because the next day was going to be Fourth of July. Finally, the Fourth of July weekend ends and he finally gets to cash his lottery ticket in, but instead of the money going to something he wanted, it mostly went to the community. "The Lottery Ticket," is a movie that I would recommend for the public to watch.

A young adult named Kevin Carson is just like everybody else, living in the projects, and struggling day to day. That is until one day his life changes whenever he finds out that his lottery ticket number had won the $370 million prize in the Nondo Millions Lottery. Excited he rushes to the claim office, but unfortunately finds it closed for the Fourth of July Weekend. Soon the neighborhood begins to find out and everyone is after him. He begins to find out who his true friends and neighbors are, even the Reverend and Parole officer are down his back. When Kevin is finally able to claim his lottery, instead of being the selfish rich guy, he gives most of the money to the community to help the project out and reform it.
This movie was a little too cheesy, but the actors played the parts well and if you are into movies with dumb comedy and crazy actors then "The Lottery Ticket," is a perfect movie to watch.
