Meet The Eagles

Thursday night, Como-Pickton High School introduced the new up-coming 2010-2011 Soaring Eagles!

 

Como-Pickton High School principal Penny Armstrong opened up the event.

"Last year I only had 16 members in the band, but this year the band has doubled in size!" Exclaimed, band director Jeremy Wofford. "I am looking forward to an exciting year!"

Up-coming Seniors, Austin Baxley - Band Major, Seth Sturgill - Drumline and Hunter Cain - Trumpet

 

           

Virginia Green, Girls Cross-Country Coach and the guys new coach, Joey Sims wants to take the Como-Pickton Cross-Country team to the next level.      

 

 

 

 

                                                                                       

High School Girls Volleyball Team

Francis Mowat, head volleyball coach introduced her "Soaring Eagle" girls, volleyball team.

"The girls have been working hard all summer. They have been doing day by day practicing, running, jumping and hitting the ball hard. I am really proud of them. I am looking forward to a "Smashing" season!"

"FOOTBALL FIGHTING EAGLES"

The Como-Pickton football team has moved into a new district, putting them to face new opponents and gain new rivalries.

"It's a new year, a new season and a new district. We know that we will play teams that we haven't played before, but that doesn't intimidate us. We will play our game and win. This will be our year and we will make Como-Pickton proud!" said Hank Tullis, Como-Pickton football player.
