Yantis VS Lone Oak
The Yantis Owls and Lone Oak were coming back Friday night after a defeat early that Friday morning. The Yantis Owls suffer a close 45-40 match against Saltillo and Lone Oak lost 61-42 against Whitewright. Both teams wanted to make the best of this game and they showed it on the court.



The first period Yantis manage to keep up with Lone Oak, but Lone Oak would end the first quarter with a 15-13 lead. On the second period Lone Oak kept up the hard work and ended the first half with a 10 point lead over the Owls, the score was now 37-27. After a short break a whole different Yantis stepped out of the locker room and on the third period they worked hard and stepped up to the plate leaving them just a basket away from from taking the lead, but Lone Oak would soon stop their offensive strikes and still take the lead 48-44. The last period of the game was an all or nothing game, Yantis gave it their all, but Lone Oak showed superiority and would take the win 68-56.




Miller Grove VS Chess
The Miller Grove Hornets lost Thursday night against Colleyville 73-66 and wanted to show their fans that they were capable of still keeping a trophy at their home place.




The first half of the game Miller Grove was struggling to keep a lead, but on the second half the Hornets finally broke through the Knights defense and ended the game with a 60-51 win.
Miller Grove Will Face-Off Lone Oak, Saturday At 3:15p.m.




Saltillo VS Whitewright
Saltillo had started the tournament in a great start and were coming back for another win after defeating Yantis on Thursday night Match-Up.




Saltillo gave it all on the court as they battle it out against Ranked #12 Whitewright. Saltillo have been undefeated and haven't had lost a game yet, but Whitewright was the kind of match-up that they have been looking forward to. On the first half Saltillo was only down by 2 points and they kept insisting but the ball wasn't just going through the net. The second half of the game was a "must of seen" match, Saltillo manage to tie the game on the third period and fourth period. It seemed that both teams were going to go into an extra period, but with only 5 seconds on the clock Saltillo missed a contested lay-up and Whitewright hit a 6 foot shot as the buzzer went off that gave them the win.
