It was reason to celebrate for the Cumby Trojans, on Friday night, as they traveled to Detroit and brought home a "sweet" victory.

Cumby lost the coin toss
The Cumby Trojans didn't have the football season they hadhoped for, but on their last football game they wanted to make the best of it.

Here are some of the Highlights of the Game;
Cumby lost the coin toss and Detroit chose to receive.
Tim Oschitzki kicked off to to the Eagles 20 yard line and it was early in the game with only minutes after the coin toss and Cumby forced a fumble and recovered the ball at the Eagles 10 yard line putting them only yards away from a touchdown! The Trojans didn't let this opporunity pass and crossed Detroit's end zone for a Trojans touchdown ! The score was 7-0 after Oschitzki PAT.

Cumby was "pumped up" and ready for another offensive turn! Oschitzki kicked off to the Eagles 35 yard line, but Detroit's kick off return team failed to execute their play and fumbled the ball. Cumby scrambled for the ball and recovered, giving them a second opportunity at a great field position. Cumby was executing their plays and gaining yards. There was still 5 minutes left of the first quarter and the Trojans still had ball possesion, on an outside play by Donnie Rodriguez, the Trojans another touchdown!

Once again Oschitzki did his part and kicked the ball all the way to Detroits End-Zone. The Eagles had zero chance to gain more yards as the Trojans stopped them at their ten yard line. Only two minutes left of the first quarter and both teams were playing evenly. Cumby and Detroit would go into the second quarter:
Cumby 14 Detroit 0

The second quarter was still a "TROJANS" game! Cumby would start the second quarter with good ball possession, but Detroit was determined to end Cumby streak. Even though Detroit did stopped them for a couple of plays, Cumby was determined to keep up the hard work and scored one more time with 8 minutes left in the second period. Oschitzki would miss the PAT, but Cumby would increase their lead to 20-0.

Only two minutes left until half time and Cumby was at the Eagles 15 yard line. The Trojans tried to penetrate Detroit's defense, but their line were not penetrable and were put in a fourth down situation. Tim Oschitzki had to finish the job as he kicked a 27 yard field goal. Trojans would go into half-time:
Cumby 23 Detroit 0
