"It took a lot of effort and a lot of pain, but at the end the pain didn't matter."

Como-Pickton fought to the finish Friday night as they faced Big Sandy!!
Friday night was a challenge for Como-Pickton as they battle out Big Sandy in overtime, giving the fans an epic football game.
Como-Pickton won the toss and chose to receive, it all seem to be going well for the Eagles, but as the opening kick-off was made, it seemed that Como-Pickton was going to have to work hard to defeat Big Sandy. Como-Pickton received the ball, but the Eagles let loose of the ball and Big Sandy Recovered at the Eagles 32. With only one minute played of the first quarter and the first offensive play, the Wildcats scored, and made a PAT moving Big Sandy ahead, with the score 7-0.

The Eagles were worried and so were the fans, but it only took a couple of carries by Bryce Steele and Mathew Sharp the Eagles scored with the score 7-6, Tellez PAT was not good. With 4 minutes left in the first quarter, the Eagles managed to stop the Wildcats and force a turnover.

The Eagles started the 2nd quarter on their 43 yard line, but a few mistakes and a couple of penalties put the Eagles back at their 28. The Eagles tried to get a first by letting Steele carry the ball, but they only got back to their 43 yard line, giving themselves a turnover and a opportunity for the Wildcats to score. Big Sandy didn't lose time and scored another touchdown and a two point conversion giving them a lead of 16-6.

The Big Sandy defense was giving Como-Pickton a hard time. It was only minutes before the Wildcats scored a Touchdown and the Big Sandy defense forced a fumble, giving them an opportunity. The Eagles gained strength and forced Big Sandy to punt, putting the ball on their 46 yard line. With 4 minutes left until half-time and Como-Pickton was nowhere close to getting Wildcats territory, a "sneaky" pass play to Angel Mercado put them in the end zone. Touchdown Eagles!! Tellez PAT was blocked. The Eagles go into half-time 16-12

After half-time it was a new game, The Eagles were ready to play their "Game." It wasn't long before the Wildcats figured out that Como-Pickton was here to play real football. Big Sandy stepped up their game and scored before the third quarter ended giving them a lead.

It wasn't until fourth quarter that Como-Pickon unleashed their "inner strenth" and tied the game 27-27.
Como-Pickton and Big Sandy go into overtime!!!

In overtime it was like a "ping-pong game," the Wildcats were the first ones to have possession of the ball and scored, but later it was Como-Pickton's turn and Hank Tullis ties the game. 34-34

The game was in its intense moment as Como-Pickton had another opportunity to take the lead and they didn't let go of this opportunity as Bryce Steele scored and Tellez PAT is good. Giving them a 41-34 lead. Big Sandy still had hope and scored, but they wanted to win and went for a two point conversion. The Eagles defensive line "showed their power" and thwarted the conversion. An Eagle victory was won!!! The final score Como-Pickton 41 - Big Sandy 40!!!
