Como-Pickton Held
Annual Stew & Auction
Tuesday Night
By: Luis Rasgado

Members of the Skills USA Team built projects for the auction
Como-Pickton FFA, and the Skills USA Organizations organized an event to raise money for their programs, Tuesday night at Como-Pickton ISD.

Tony Glasscock, Instructor of the Skills USA team, got his members to build woodworking projects that were displayed early that evening so people could take a look at the projects that were going to be auctioned. Michael Bowen and his Agriculture department combined wood working projects with their welding touches to create beautiful works of art.

" I hate to admit it, but every time I come to this auction I always gain a couple of pounds, because I just can't stop eating this "darn" good stew." Joyfully expressed one of Tuesday night's buyers.

Michael Bowen would like to express his gratitude to all the students who helped and to those who donated things for this fundraising event.

Many of the students present were anxious to see how much their project would be sold for and as the auction was on its way, many were shocked to find out their profit.
