Catfish and Country Concert Gathers Sulphur Springs
In One Big Event
By: Luis Rasgado
A huge crowd gathered outside the Civic Center Saturday Night for the finale of the
2010 Hopkins County Fall Festival...the "Catfish and Country Concert."

After a busy day of stew, quilt, duck race, and hot dog eating contest it was time for the people of Sulphur Springs to gather together, to relax, eat delicious fried fish and enjoy some musical entertainment.
The show opened with Whiskey Roadshow making the crowd enjoy even more of a beautiful evening.

After the opening up of Whiskey Roadshow it was time for the raffle ticket drawing for a brand new ATV and to announce the "Catfish Competition Winners."
For the Catfish Contest the winners were as follow;
Third Place:
Team Generation

Second Place:
The Aguilar Family

First Place:
Farm Country Team

The winner of the Fall Festival 4-Wheeler Raffle was Joyce Burchfield, who was not present at the time, but Mr. Aguilar gladly took the time to call the winner. Unfortunately they didn't answer so he left her a voice mail, that I'm quite sure she will be excited to receive.

The music continued when Jamie Richards stepped up to the stage.

The crowd went wild as he performed, many decided to get their partners and dance.

The Night was barely getting into its climax when Colton Frazier asked Richards if he could sing along with him. Richards granted him his wish and Colton asked the band if they could play "Sweet Home Alabama."
And Colton Frazier lent the crowd his singing talent, as he joined Richards on the stage.

Deryl Dodd was the final act to take the stage and "wrap-up" the 2010
Hopkins County Fall Festival.
