Cumby Head Coach Charles Boles said in a statement, “Dear Trojan family, It is with a very heavy heart that I have to inform you that we will have to cancel our playoff game next Thursday due to exposure to covid 19. My heart breaks for the parents of the players. Thank you so much for the loving support you have given to all the players this year. But most importantly, I am truly sorry for our players. They have tremendous heart and toughness. They have been through a very difficult season and have shown great character and team unity. So much so, that they we able to make the playoffs. I have been in this business for over a quarter of a century and I know that I have never been around a group of young men that showed as much grit as the 2020 Trojans. They deserved a chance to play in the playoffs more than any other team in the state! In my opinion! I am so proud of what these men have done this year. I pray for safety and health for all of our school community and a speedy recovery for all those affected by this virus. ”
