Winnsboro Man Arrested for Assault of Pregnant Woman by Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 27 year old Winnsboro man on Saturday night after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman.

HCSO deputies responded to CR 2402 around 8 pm in response to reports of a disturbance. They made contact with the pregnant victim at the scene.

The victim told officers that she and the suspect were in a verbal altercation which turned physical. Deputies observed dried blood in the nose of the victim as a result of the alleged assault.

Deputies determined that Dario Ledesma Jr was the primary aggressor in the altercation and placed him under arrest. He was charged with Assault of Pregnant Person and transferred to Hopkins County Jail.
