Funeral services for Wanda Lou Goodson, age 86, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Eckstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with David Britton, Tommy Camp, Derb Goodman, Brandon Bates, Ronnie Bates and Tracy Giles serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jarrod Kirkpatrick and Turk Morgan. A come and go visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Wanda passed away at her daughter’s home on Saturday, September 12, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.  Wanda was born on August 10, 1934 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Walter Dixon and Ina Lea Bumpus Dixon.  She married Joe Ed Goodson on December 23, 1950 in Sulphur Springs and he preceded her in death.  Wanda was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness. She who loved to cook and spend time with her family.  Her infectious laugh filled any room.  She is survived by her daughter, Alisha Giles and her son Joe Ferrell Goodson and wife Sharon, all of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Wendy Lea Camp and husband Tommy and Jarrod Olin Kirkpatrick.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Helen Ruth Bates, and son-in-law, Rickey Giles.
