Graveside services for Lloyd Ray Duckworth, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:30 Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper with Bro. Neal Cochran officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Duckworth, Cecil Duckworth, William Dan Duckworth, Cecil Duckworth, Leslie Jackson, and Bradley Lane. Honorary pallbearer will be Edith Jackson. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home prior to service. Ray passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was born on January 28, 1938 in Charleston, the son of Lonnie Edward Duckworth and Rosa Lee Turner Duckworth. He worked as a welder for Gifford Hill for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. Ray is survived by sons, Michael Duckworth and Cindy Harris of Sulphur Springs, Cecil Duckworth and wife Cindy of Sulphur Springs, brothers, Troy Duckworth and Jesse Duckworth, sisters, Edith Jackson and Joyce Bulin, grandchildren, Cecil Duckworth, William Dan Duckworth, Mechell Harring, Ashley Blackard, Brittney Lane, Lauren Duckworth, Stormy Straight, and great-grandchildren, Payton and Parker Harring, Hannah, Landon, and Maddison Blackard, William Dan Duckworth, Logan Hill, Leah Lane, Ryan, Josh, and Brooklyn Straight, and Avery Duckworth. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Claude, Bill, and Doyle Duckworth.
