Graveside services for Dessa Pearl Haney Hatley, age 97, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Rusty Posey officiating and the grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers. There will be a come and go visitation held from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Dessa passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. She was born on January 8, 1923 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Haney and Clara Alice Sanders Haney. She was a member of the First Assembly of God/Hope Family Fellowship. She married Charlie Hatley on March 20, 1943 in Sulphur Springs. Dessa is survived by son, Garland Hatley and wife Leonna of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Michelle Hatley of Sulphur Springs, Eric Hatley and wife Wendi of Rockwall, Jonathan Hatley and wife Tiar of Tira, Sharon Rivera and husband Robert of Sulphur Springs, great-grandchildren, Yvonne and Ricardo Perez, Dereck and Darby Hatley, Connor Hatley, Meagan Hatley, Emily Walter, Jessica Hatley, Jonathan Hatley Jr., Jamie Hatley, Leah Hatley, Joseph Hatley, Charlie Hatley, Malachi Hatley, great-great-grandchildren, Mylah Espinoza, Mylon Espinoza, Ricardo Perez Jr., Dereck Elan Hatley, Eli Hatley, Ila Hatley, and sister, Goldie Wilma Darlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sons, Orville Gene Hatley, Paul Leland Hatley, brothers, Clarence Haney, Earl Ellis Haney, Leslie Doryn Haney, Thomas Dewey Haney, Grady Troyce Haney, and sisters, Jessie Lucille Waller, and Virgie Leola Coleman.
